Overnight Camp

Build courage, confidence, and character with a week session or mini session at our overnight camp. Campers will enjoy the beauty of Cayuga Lake while living in our tree-top cabin village units, as they explore nature, challenge themselves, try something new, and make new friends.

Week 1: July 7-12

Artful Adventures -Adventure into Comstock with your creative side to make your mark with art. Campers will get to learn about famous artists and make art inspired by them, as well as explore different art mediums and methods to unlock their creativity!

Week 2: July 14-19

STEM Week - If you’ve ever wondered how Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) could bring endless hours of summer fun, then this week of camp is for you! From identifying the creatures and features of the woods that hold Comstock by day, to learning how to read the sky full of stars and how they shine at night, all the STEM experiments of your dreams combined with your typical camp activities will come true! Girl Scouts are the next generation of scientists, engineers, innovators, and leaders who may even find their spark at camp!

Week 3: July 21-26

Outdoor Skills Week - The true meaning of what it is to learn about the outdoors! Build your skills with outdoor activities. Develop your skills and show everyone what you are capable of as we explore the world around us and its endless possibilities. Fire building, pitching tents, and more will sharpen your skills.

Week 4: July 28-August 2

Magic & Mischief Week - Witches and wizards and warlocks—oh my! This week’s camp will transform the grounds of Comstock into a magical realm full of mischief that only magic could produce! Bring your most magical mind and prepare for a week full of fun, and friends, and maybe even help to save the magical world forever.

Week 5: August 4-9

Comstock’s Got Talent - Want to perform your special (or hidden) talent for the whole camp? You can play an instrument and let out your inner rockstar, perform some magic, put on a skit with bunkmates, sing a song, and so much more! Take to the stage or exhibit your talents for all at camp to see. Get ready to shine in Comstock’s Got Talent.

Week 6: August 11-16

Trip Week - Have you ever wanted to explore the “Grand Canyon of the East” and gain leadership skills to navigate the outdoors? This trip is for you! Come join us for a week full of adventure, tenting, campfire cooking, nature science and exploration, and even a few dips in the swimming hole! We’ll get to know each other at Comstock as we prepare for our journey and learn the skills necessary for the trip. Then we’ll set out in the Girl Scout van to Letchworth State Park in Western NY for a jam-packed three days of everything the park has to offer! Throughout the trip, there will be a multitude of opportunities to not only earn badges but also to make life-long friendships and skills that help your leadership spirit shine!

Add-on Adventures

The below activities are optional add-on activities available during overnight camp. Add-ons are not available for campers participating in a Mini Session, LIT, or CIT. Campers do not need to register for an add-on to have a full and enriching camp experience! While registering for a week of camp, you will see the option to select an add-on activity during the registration process.

Sailing at Comstock is AMAZING! As beginning sailors, campers will learn the basics of sailing and spend two hours each day out on the water.

Giddy Up $100

Weeks 1-5 for overnight campers only

Girls entering grades 4-10

Join us for a two-day adventure at D&K Ranch. Campers will go to the ranch two days during the week and ride while working on self-exploration and discovery while out on the trail. Campers will need to provide and wear long thick pants (denim or similar) and bring sturdy shoes with a heel.

Campers will miss traditional camp activities to participate in our add-on adventure programs. The activities missed will not be made up.

  • Camp Comstock is in the Finger Lakes Region in Ithaca, NY on Cayuga Lake. Most of our campers are from New York and Pennsylvania, but we have had campers come from all over the US!

  • No! Our overnight camps are open to all girls, and we encourage campers to bring a friend, Girl Scout or not! If your camper would like to become a registered Girl Scout before camp, simply register here! Non-members have a $50 fee added during the camp registration process.

  • Activities at Comstock include swimming, boating, archery, gaga ball, crafts, games, and more! Some activities are age restricted. Add-on activities are also available each week!

  • Realizing families have different abilities to pay, we have a voluntary fee structure based on a 3-tier pricing system. The tier you select will have no impact on the camp experience your camper receives. Choose the tier that is right for you!

    Tier A $525- Traditionally subsidized cost, representing a $100 subsidy

    Tier B $575 - Partially subsidized cost, representing a $50 subsidy

    Tier C $625- Closest to the TRUEST cost of camp, if you’re able to pay this- please do!

    Mini Sessions are $300 (no tier options).

    A $50 non-refundable deposit is due at the time of registration.

  • No, camp registration is based on the grade that your girl is entering for the 2023-24 school year. Girl Scout levels are as follows:

    Daisy: Grades K-1

    Brownie: Grades 2-3

    Junior: Grades 4-5

    Cadette: Grades 6-8

    Senior: Grades 9-10

    Ambassador: Grades 11-12

  • Campers will stay in our tree-top cabin units or in our platform tent unit with other campers their age.

  • Comstock has amazing views of Cayuga Lake! The lake is busy with other boaters, but we have a sectioned off swimming area for our campers. The swimming area is divided into multiple sections. Campers will undergo a swimming assessment to determine their swimming ability, which will determine which sections they can go in. Water shoes are required to be worn by all swimmers. We have canoes, rowboats, funyaks, and sailboats.

  • Each week we will have a maximum of approximately 100 campers.

  • Overnight camp is just for kids! Staying away from home is a great opportunity for your camper to build confidence and independence. If you would like to attend camp with your child, please see our Open House overnight offering.

  • After registering for camp you will receive an email inviting you to create an account with CampDoc. You will submit all health paperwork and complete all camper forms in your CampDoc account.

  • Yes, we honor 1 buddy request per camper. In your CampDoc account there will be a place to request a buddy. Please ensure both campers request each other. Buddies must be registered for the same program and be in the same age group. Not coming to camp with a buddy? No worries! Camp is a place to make new friends.

  • Absolutely! Overnight camp is only for girls (no adults), but troop members can choose to attend the same week. Interested in a troop camping experience for the whole troop including leaders? Check out Troop Core at our other camp properties.

  • Yes, financial assistance is available for registered Girl Scouts. We want every Girl Scout to be able to experience camp regardless of their financial situation. Please register for camp first to hold your spot, and then submit this aid request form online.
