Mom and Me and Family Camp are jam-packed overnights filled with classic camp activities. Activities may include swimming, boating, slingshots, crafts, a campfire, and more! All activities are facilitated by our trained camp staff. Some activities are age restricted.

No, camp registration is based on the grade that your girl is entering for the 2023-24 school year. Girl Scout levels are as follows:

Daisy: Grades K-1

Brownie: Grades 2-3

Junior: Grades 4-5

Cadette: Grades 6-8

Senior: Grades 9-10

Ambassador: Grades 11-12

Mom and Me: Girl/adult pairs will stay together in a platform tent or cabin. You may be sharing your sleeping quarters with other girl/adult pairs.

Family Camp: Families will be assigned to a platform tent or cabin (or multiple, depending on your family size). Your family will not be sharing a tent/cabin with another family, unless you would like to. During registration, you will indicate your preference between a cabin and a platform tent.

Hoover is located on scenic Song Lake. The lake is owned by the Song Lake Association which does not permit public access, so our waterfront remains fairly quiet and calm. We have a swimming area divided into sections for different swimming abilities. Water shoes are required to be worn by all swimmers. We have canoes, rowboats, and kayaks. We also have our own private island, Girl Scout Island, that is perfect for troops looking to go primitive camping.

We will have a maximum of approximately 64 campers (youth and adult) during each camp session.

Yes! Families can consist of 1 adult with 1 girl, 1 adult with multiple girls, or 1 girl with multiple adults (e.g. mom and grandma).

Yes! Our registration for Family Camp is doesn’t have a request form attached to it but reach out to the camp director and they’ll do their best to pair you in the same unit with this family/buddy.

Adults are welcome to participate in all activities alongside their girl(s). If there are any activities you don’t want to join in on, that is okay too.

All meals are provided during your stay. We offer kid-friendly foods. Think spaghetti, pancakes, hamburgers, and more. If you have special dietary concerns, please be sure to note them during registration. We accommodate for all diets.

Important items to bring: sleeping bag or twin size bedding, pillow, sneakers, bathing suit, water shoes, towel, toiletries, flashlight, water bottle, clothing appropriate for the weather, and warm pajamas for sleeping.

Yes, showers are available for your use.
