This camping experience is for Girl Scouts and their troop leaders to enjoy a fun, community-based camping weekend. Girls and leaders will enjoy classic camp activities, such as archery, swimming, boating, the ropes course, and more, facilitated by our camp staff. Meals are provided throughout the duration of the program. Check-in on Friday is at 7 pm. Check-out on Sunday is at 10 am.

$65 per person for 1 night, $85 per person for 2 nights.

  • The guide includes the packing list and other important information. It was emailed out to all leaders who registered their troop for Troop Core. Leaders should share the information with their troop members who will be in attendance. It can also be viewed here.

  • Troop Core is a jam-packed weekend filled with classic camp activities. Activities may include swimming, boating, archery, sling shots, tomahawk throwing, the high and low ropes course, crafts, a campfire, and more! You will receive a schedule at check-in. Some activities are age restricted. All activities are led by our trained summer camp staff.

  • Troops will be assigned to a cabin unit or the yurt. You may be sharing your sleeping quarters with other troops. Cabin units consist of multiple 4-person platform cabins. These cabins have wood sides, a roof, and canvas front and backs. The yurt and most cabins do not have electricity. All units have a firepit and latrine.

  • No, camp registration is based on the grade that your girl is entering for the 2023-24 school year. Girl Scout levels are as follows:

    Daisy: Grades K-1

    Brownie: Grades 2-3

    Junior: Grades 4-5

    Cadette: Grades 6-8

    Senior: Grades 9-10

    Ambassador: Grades 11-12

  • We have our own small, private lake called Snyder Lake! Since we have it all to ourselves it is perfect for swimming and boating for beginners and experts. The swimming area is divided into multiple sections. Water shoes are not necessary, but some campers prefer to wear them.

  • We will have approximately 50 campers (youth and adult) at Troop Core.

  • Your troop must have at least 2 adults attend the program and be within girl to adult ratio. Camp staff will be facilitating activities for your troop but will not be providing supervision.

  • None! Our summer camp staff will be providing all activity facilitation and covering any first-aid needs. So your troop leaders do not need to have completed Simply Successful Camping (SSC) to attend.

  • Adults are welcome to participate in all activities alongside their troop members! If there are any activities you don’t want to join in on, that is okay too.

  • All meals are provided during your stay. We offer kid-friendly foods. Think spaghetti, pancakes, hamburgers, and more. If you have special dietary concerns, please be sure to note them during registration. We accommodate for all diets.

  • Yes, showers are available for your use.

  • Troops will have some downtime, so you can prepare an activity to do during this time if you would like. You can also use this time to just relax in your cabins, play gaga ball, or take a hike around camp.

  • Important items to bring: sleeping bag or twin size bedding, pillow, sneakers, bathing suit, towel, toiletries, flashlight, water bottle, clothing appropriate for the weather, and warm pajamas for sleeping.

  • During registration, you will indicate if any of your campers have any dietary restrictions, allergies, or other concerns. Troop leaders must have health history forms on hand for all girls and adults in attendance.
